I would like to see what I would be representing if I were representing Atlasia as it's President, and to do this I wish to ask you an important and personal question-what is your core belief?

Keep it short-if it's too long then it's not core but a bunch of stuff.

My core belief is that people should have equal opportunity, but what they do with it has to come from within, and that government interference beyond providing opportunity is severly negative. In all areas that influence peoples lives, it should only be to provide opportunity or freedom for opportunity.

Obviously, people have different ideas of what 'providing opportunity' means, though Smiley

Hm...my core belief is probably that people have a right to their own lives, as long as they don't harm others. I dislike extremism and seeing only one side of things, I don't believe in black and white answers to most issues. I'm a romantic, I believe in ideas and the ability of human beings to do the right thing and make a better world for themselves and others.

I'd say that's my fundamental philosophy.

My core belief that everyone is equal and should be looked at equal. Just as God does. Everyone has the right to work, get rich, and whatever they want to do. Also that the gov't should have some religion in it. No I'm not a nut or anything, I just saying the basic of every major religion should be taught in school. Maybe in a History class. Also I think the the gov't is going to far with trying to keep Christianity out of the gov't.

Do you think the cartoon that you posted that showed the Pope and the Devil with the Bible that Catholics use stood for equality?

That was along time ago. I know that was not the right way to get my point across. But anyways LETS drop that because that is in the past. Lets not dwell in the past, but look toward the future.

A government of laws, not of men.  We can easily identify unwanted bias in the law and remove it, but how can one reliably identify bias in a man so that it may be removed from governence.

The government exists solely to better the lives of the citizens and to keep them safe, and anything else is a realm where it shouldn't go.

What constitutes "better[ing] the lives of the citizens" and "keep[ing] them safe" is often not as clear-cut as one would like, but that's the principle that I work from.

I believe that a government that stays out of the people's lives serves it's citizen's best.

The Doctrine of Personal Responsibility.

What you do, you pay the price for, whether good or bad. You NEVER make another pay the price for your own actions, regardless of where on the political spectrum you are.

Don't use moral standards on other people that you aren't using on yourself.
Try to stay intellectually honest - question all tacit assumptions.

Equal opportunity for all to succeed.

A free market of ideas and one in which no one has an advantage based on the past accomplishments of others.

Continual competition within this free market.

The above is what I feel government should seek to achieve, and stay out of all else.

Respect your self, your country, your neighbor, and your laws.  Be sure to respect them in that order.
