No way would they manage that in Wyoming. I'd say 67-31 McCain.

Hardcore R.

If I were Howard Dean, I would plan monthly conference calls with Brian Schweitzer, Dave Freudenthal, Jon Tester, Max Baucus, Byron Dorgan, Earl Pomeroy, Brad Henry, Ken Salazar, Janet Napolitano, Stephanie Herseth, Bill Richardson and maybe Kathleen Sebelius.

Just dig deep into specific issues in each western state where Democrats have seated Governors, Congressmen or Senators -- and find the commonalities.  Some of this is happening already but more needs to be done.

We can't win Wyoming in 2008, but we might in 2012.  A lot of moderates and liberals are buying property in places like Montana and Wyoming.  We're making healthy progress in Colorado already.  We need to add some other Western States to our Pacific bloc.

I may have been too kind to the Democrats, but I still don't think the GOP will crack 65% in Wyoming this year.

The states besides Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada that we need in our Pacific Bloc, are Montana, and maybe Idaho.(Getting lots of people moving here that are not Mormon)

I wonder why Mormons are so republican... they must have a sense of class entitlement or something. I mean, you can be socially conservative and still be a democrat.

They have their own social welfare system, and don't care for the government's.

A lot of Mormans are also fiscal conservatives, sometimes more so than social conservative.

There's no way McCain does as well in Wyoming as Bush did. I'd say 60% would be as high as he could get, assuming Obama is the nominee. But if Hillary is, then another 2-1 landslide isn't out of the question. Obama will do much better in the West than Kerry did.

Must be class identification then.

I would say 65-34 for Obama and 69-30 for Hillary. 61% of the Wyoming Population is Republican. It's just the culture out here to be obiedient to your boss.
