What the? Ok, I'm as much of a social liberal as they come, but I don't want to visit a public lavatory in, I dunno, my local shopping mall, do my thing and then realise that there's a couple banging away right next to me. People do make noises when they're shagging, y'know.

Not only would it make me feel horribly inadequate, seeing as I never get laid, I also think it's inappropriate to have sex in a public environment, period.

People should just be able to have sex whenver they want
They can, they just can't do it wherever they want.

But everyone should have the right not to be aware of other people having sex if they so choose.
Tell that to my neighbor's girlfriend.
Boy. She's almost as loud in bed as she is in their frequent fights.

There should be no blanket ban.  It should depend on the type of establishment, the type of stall (if properly constructed there should be complete privacy), and how much disturbance or noise was created.  Even in the case where it is judged inappropriate the penalties should be extremely low, as this is a very minor 'crime'.

I basically agree with opebo.

LOL!

It should be illegal, I guess, but of all my years going to nightclubs and bars, I have never heard of anyone actually getting busy in the bathrooms.   I'm thinking thats an urban myth.

No. I have heard of anyone etc. I've not done it myself.

A mate of mine did actually lose his virginity in the Batschkapp ladies' toilet though... which if that place is anything as uncouth at the gents', is not a very enticing thought.

I don't think you understand. This is a VERY serious offense we're talking about! If you didn't tell the police about it, you must be arrested!!!!11

I think that one is beyond the statute of limitations by now.

Although... come to think of it... I know a similar story from just a year back... although in that case (although I know one of the persons involved) I was told secondhand. By an eyewitness.
But that was at a gay bar.

As long as minors can't get into those restrooms, sure why not?

wow, what a thread.

In bars/clubs, sure it should be legal, but proprietors should have the ability to ban it. The gay bar business would then all be lost to...

public toilets in parks.

Which would not be so good.

Really, its the less invasive result, on both the people who want to have random sex and people who dont want to see sex everywhere.
