Ok; OBAMA wins big can we stop the race stuff?  Apparently not.  Forget that Obama has the most delegates from IA, NH, NV, and SC, that's a fact.  Why let that get in the way

This was in response to a question about Obama saying it "took two people to beat him."  In the question Jackson had not been mentioned.

"Jesse Jackson won South Carolina in '84 and '88. Jackson ran a good campaign.  And Obama ran a good campaign here".

This is reported by ABC blogs today.  I just saw the video clip on Foxnews.  After saying Obama ran a good campaign here...he added that he has run a good campaign everywhere and is a good candidate.   Anybody who reads or looks at video and doesn't think the self anointed "1st black President" isn't trying to paint Obama as a candidate of the African-American community is blind. Jesse Jackson was known as the candidate that only appealed to African-American.

THIS IS REALLY DISGRACEFUL behavior.  This stuff is CRAP....

Look at the behavior or George H. Bush and Barbara Bush when George W. ran.  Did they stoop to pit dogs for their son.  Of course not, He is a former President and she was a former 1st lady.  One of George W's biggest applause lines in 2000 was his promise to bring honor and dignity back to the White House.  Is former President Clinton acting as a statesmen honor and dignity?  This is unacceptable behavior

I'm sorry my friend but the issue here is Hillary.  Her rationale is based upon his record as President.  If you think that she isn't encouraging this, you're wrong.  If not, then we don't need her as a President.

This is all about suppressing white votes for Obama.  Well, I'm a moderate republican and right now I'd vote for Obama in the general election.  I will not be suppressed.

Bill Clinton needs to shut his piehole.

Who, do you think, is authorizing this?

This has been posted before.

Anyway, I don't remember Obama complaining when he welcomed Jackson's endorsement. Yet when someone mentions Obama and Jackson in the same sentence, the Obama people automatically take it as an insult, even racism (nevermind the irony of calling Bill Clinton racist of all things). That's what I call oversensitive. Jackson is actually a respected figure and the first black person with a serious shot at the presidency. His run made it easier for many blacks running for office, including Obama.

Nonetheless, the association with Jackson as a candidate is clearly negative. Jackson was a black candidate. Obama is a candidate who is black. Yet the attempt is obvious: to make Obama a black candidate.

"when someone mentions Obama and Jackson in the same sentence, the Obama people automatically take it as an insult"

So the someone being the former President of the US ( one of the smartest politicians in the last 20 yrs), just happened to mention this today after Obama won the primary when asked a question that had nothing to do with Jackson?  Perfectly innocent remark and the Obama supporters are being too sensitive.

If a republican had said this he would have been run out of town on a rail.  Unbelievable that you could be blaming Obama supporters for Bill Clinton's horrible judgment.  He said it, he owns it.  Not the Obama supporters

It's not that different from when Obama labelled Clinton as Bush-Cheney lite. Associating your opponent with other figures is a common tactic in politics. Bill Clinton was just reassuring the media that winning SC is not that important, because Jackson won in SC both times but did not win the nomination. In fact, Clinton specifically said that Obama won because he had a "good campaign and good organization", not race. The Obama people chose to interpret everything as race-related as soon as they hear Jackson's name.

I think the way some Obama supporters on this forum are treating Jackson is a lot worse.

"Bill Clinton was just reassuring the media that winning SC is not that important, because Jackson won in SC both times but did not win the nomination".

Yes, he just happened to randomly go back to 1980's and choose Jackson's candidacy to demonstrate that winning South Carolina isn't that important.  He couldn't have picked a more recent example, if memory serves me correctly John Edwards won in 2004 and lost the nomination.  He just happened to randomly pick Jesse Jackson to reassure the media about the importance of South Carolina and not 4 years ago with a candidate who is running today

One of the smartest politicians in this country randomly went back 20-25 years to make his point instead of 4 years ago with a candidate in today's race.  Yeah RIGHT

This is racial politics

funny how the Hillaryhaters are so extreme in their hate that they'll even start bashing the only Democrat to win a presidential election in the last 30 years

Because he's completely violated any convention of Presidential primary neutrality there may have been.

I assume your proud of this tactics and statements sanctioned by the candidate your supporting because her husband won elections 12-16 years ago.  That's certain your choice but I'm surprised that Hillary supporters would look past these tactics.  They are seedy

Perhaps it's because we'd like to see a Democrat elected sometime in the next thirty years too. If you are blind to the fact that the Clintons' campaign tactics are going to turn off the electorate and raise Hillary's already high negatives for the general, you aren't paying attention.

I liked Hillary just fine until she started this crap; I voted for Bill Clinton twice with pride; it's their current actions I hate and find completely unacceptable. Spin as you will, but they have no one to blame but themselves.  Any insinuation otherwise is frankly an insult to the electorate's intelligence.

So "extreme" that they'll criticize someone for unethical behavior?

The scandal.

As kind of an aside, I thought you had switched your support to Obama a few weeks ago...

And so blind is the Hillary supporter from Mississippi that they would even consider election 2008 to be anything like the presidential elections of the past 30 years.

The hatred emanating from Hillaryland has been unbearable. First they lied about Obama's religion, then they claimed Bill had bedded more black women, and now they use a man who called another Congressperson a "whore," as a surrogate to blast Obama.

Anyone who is objective has to acknowledge that Hillary started the campaign as a divisive figure with high negatives.

So what does she do?  GOES OUT AND PROVES IT !!!!

Her strategy is as strange as Rudy's was ( he's done.... )

I mean, for practical purposes, if Hillary can get through this campaign with such high negatives, she should be able to weasel herself into the whitehouse...
