I expect Sherrod Brown to run for President some day.  When I was in high school, I remember our government teacher telling us to watch this kid who won a seat in the state legislature at the age of 22. We watched his 1982 campaign for Sec'y. of State very closely. It was Sherrod Brown.  Since then, nearly all the Democrats in Ohio and some of the Republicans have been saying it's only a matter of time before he runs for President.

Although in his early 50's now, maybe he has hit the peak.

What do you all think?  Is Brown a Presidential candidate in 2012 if McCain wins this time?  Or in 2016 if Hillary or Obama serve two terms?

I'm all for a McCain vs. Brown 2012 race...it would be a very cool 1984 part deux.

Nah, I'm sure McCain would win more than one state. Probably Utah, Idaho, Arizona, maybe Alabama.

I would support Sherrod Brown fanatically if he ever ran for President.

Sherrod Brown for President and Paul Hackett for Ohio Senate.

Then they could deport Jean Schmidt to Iraq.

Same here.  I am hoping he is the next Paul Wellstone.

Haha, that's about what I was thinking.  I can't see this guy gaining much traction outside of union country.

He shouldn't run for prez.  He just doesn't seem presidential to me.  I'd much rather have him in the Senate.

I've been reading up on him and I've started to like the guy. As for whether or not he should run for President? Maybe. Though I would prefer if he ran for Vice President under Mark Warner in 2012.

Sherrod Brown doesn't seem Presidential at all to me. The United States Senate suits Senator Brown best.
