Who pays taxes on this forum ? and how much?

I do?  Tens of thousands of dollars?
If you make more than 100,000$ I don't care, suck it up for the good of America.

Which is pretty much the Democratic platform.

Nice to hear, Mr. Edwards.

And while I wish I made anywhere near that kind of money, sadly, I do not.
Well if you make less than 100,000$, then the Democrats will probably cut taxes for you within the next 8 years. Why go against that?

I would never vote for McCain. He is really just another run-of-the-mill conservative Republican.

While I'm not necessarily advocating a blind vote for Republicans (because blind voting is stupid as hell), has there ever been a tax cut in the history of ever where people making less than $100,000 weren't included?

Besides, I'm much less concerned about cutting taxes than I am about making sure the taxes I pay are spent correctly.  That's why I want someone with a very keen eye on spending in the Oval Office, and that's part of why I greatly like John McCain.

There's actually a theory that Brüning's economic mismanagement was actually sabotage aimed at proving that Germany couldn't pay the reparations.

Either way, slashing benefits via decree at a time of mass unemployment was always asking for trouble...

Yeah, a very stupid move by Bruning. I read a book that said it was all about cutting inflation so that way German products would be sold in foriegn markets. Now of course that was also a very stupid idea because the whole frickin world was in a depression not just Germany.

I think the taxation issue is irelevent. Money still gets spent. What I am more interested is a realistic plan on Iraq. I think Hillary, Obama and even Romney has one....but not McCain.

Hey but everything that McCain has supported and suggested on Iraq has turned out to work, Like the surge for example violence is down dramatically and some things are actually getting done.

Violence is back down to where it was in 2006.  Dramatically would be something like the level of American casualties in Kosovo.

I know I wasnt being rude or anything, just stating I wouldnt vote for McCain anyways...even if I were a republican.

And if I were a Democrat, I would still vote for George W. Bush!

What is the point of such statements?

Well, if that actually was his intention (and it probably was at least a partial motivator), it worked.  Reparation payments were suspended in very late 1932 if memory serves.

But yeah, damned stupid move all the same.

Baring an Obama candidacy I'd back McCain... if it's Clinton Vs Romney then I'll cry. Sad
