Ron Paul: An honest man among a bunch of thugs.
Yeah, its like watching the bullies beat on the nerd in the playground.

Ron Paul is saying the things his supporters want him to say, so he's staying true as their champion in the face of a gang attack every debate, and he's the only one pointing a finger at our failed monetary policy for a lot of our economic problems.  He's an honorable man.

It's pretty obvious that Fox News invited Ron Paul so that the Republican candidates could beat up on him. Romney in particular needed someone to pick on, especially after the past couple of debates. As much as the others deride and insult him, Paul is doing better than Thompson. Hell, Giuliani isn't very far ahead. Who are the real jokes here?

The Paul bashing questions from Fox are absurd. What a hit job.... and somebody needs to shut that loser ass Giuliani up. His laughing noises are worse than Richardson's table smacking.

Paul's doing really good tonight though. Also, if I was a Democrat I'd be happy they're bashing him so much. It is just more likely to cause him to make a 3rd party run since he'd have no reason to stay "loyal".

Unfortunately, he'd only be able to run in 49 states (and DC)

Oh well, so he can't be a spoiler in Texas. I guess we'll just have to live with that.

Well, if he runs as a Libertarian, that’s still better then the ballet access they had last time. [only 48 states.]

I'm very proud of Rudy. I don't believe he's mentioned 9/11 all night.

HAHA. The focus group unanimously agreed that Ron Paul was the loser tonight. Thompson won it. I agree. Thompson looked like he was conscious tonight.

LAME! they asked the focus group who lost and they all answered "ron paul!"

just because he's saying things that you aren't ready to accept doesn't mean you have to default to automatically making him the permanent loser in the campaign.

It's a "Republican" debate.  What do you expect?  Obviously, they should have Republicans in their focus group, not Democrats.

Unfortunately for Democrats, a renewed Thompson would likely only help McCain in SC.

Hogwash! You're just mad that Romney won NH, exactly as his group predicted.

Well the pundits were saying that Romney and Rudy won the debate on Friday night on ABC when Romney was attacked to the point of tears.

I do think Thompson did well tonight, though. Paul just angers many Republicans and it is no surprise they all viewed him as the loser. Most people would unless they were some of his supporters.

Paul is dominating in the cell phone poll that they always run again. That always pisses off Sean Hannity. haha.

Oh, I never said he wasnt wrong in what he is doing. He is honorable for his sticking true to prinicples, but for little else, I assure.

We are talking about the GOP Debate in Myrtle Beach right? Because it was the first debate, I saw in full for a very long time. Most of the other debates I've seen, have only been a minute or two of the actually debate, on the news summary!

I actually liked what Ron Paul was saying about the Middle East because it's true. Though instead of calling Israel a "Step Child" he should have called it the 51st state because America is treating it like one.

For a moment I liked Mike Huckabee politically, when Thompson was calling Huckabee a liberal on foreign policy and economic policy. Though that quickly vanished when Huckabee said he wasn't one at all.

The Debate, in my mind had two winners tonight. John McCain and Fred Thompson, now I was very surprised that Thompson did so well. But his performance in the debate won't translate into a victory in South Carolina in the next couple of days and many of us would agree.

Did anyone keep count of how many times all of the GOP candidates said Ronald Reagan? I would say they mentioned his name more than 150 times in the Debate. And I was surprised that Rudy Giuliani kicked off the Reagan fest.
