Before you vote, keep in mind that Dean's scream was creepy because it sounded like he thought he won.  When he clearly didn't.  So the question is -- which candidate will appear most clueless after a miserable finish on Caucus night?

Hopefully Clinton will start screeching really loud if she loses.

<SPEW>

She might invent a new "laugh".

More likely she will give off that loud, cackling laugh. You know, the one that gives you the impression that she's thinking "if you only knew...."

Richardson...I just could see him doing it.

He might, but would anyone even notice given that he's not a frontrunner? And I'm thinking Huckabee myself, he'd made a few gaffe's already.

I don't think that was it at all.

Someone else - John Cox he'll  just do it to get attention. In all seriousness I reckon Congressman Ron Paul will. He's like a Republican Howard Dean in a sense, just not as liberal and not as chubby....

I don't see it happening, but out of all the people on the list probably Huckabee.

Do you mean, "Who will have a meaningless film clip played ad nauseum, in an effort by the mainstream media to finish off his or her campaign?"  It's hard to say, but it can really only happen to a Democrat.

If Paul does it, there won't be any affect on his campaign though.

That's a good point, even if Huckabee does something similar the media certainly won't play it to death.

It's my understanding that the "Dean Scream" incident was in fact the result of an unfortunate, out-of-whack distortion of the true relationship between the voice level of Howard Dean and that of the audience, resulting in a misleading impression of someone going berserk. It's probably now standard course material for media communication students.
An interesting theory is that it actually hurt John Edwards's chances the most.

we're going to New Hampshire!  And then we're going to South carolina!  And to Michigan.  And Texas and California and Ohio and Florida and Washington.  Yiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuww!

I dunno, is it just me or was that scream overplayed?  I thought it was a fair attempt at motivation.  Like he was just trying to be an agnostic version of Joel Osteen.  Janet and Boy Band Justin on Superbowl Sunday back in 2004, on the other hand, now that was much more memorable.  That had the power that Dean wanted his scream to have.  After all, Dean wasn't fined by the FCC.  If you can't even get yerself fined by the FCC, then I'm not impressed.

I have a friend, a big Dean guy, who was at that event, pretty close to the front of the stage. He said that it didn't sound strange at all to anyone actually in the room with Dean, and it did really fire up the crowd. But apparently it sounded different when it was picked up by the microphones from the TV people there.

But Dean had already lost way before the scream.
