Being that journalisim in this country is where I got my start, I figure to return to my roots, and start a true journalistic News and Commentating organ.

If anyone is interested in posting news or commentaries, PM me. Jobs for reporters are few, and I'll choose up to five others, but anyone... Liberal, Libertarian, or Conservative is welcome to submit a commentary to me via PM, and I'll post it up.

Apply within or PM me.

Well, the Doctor of Cynicisim is here to deliver the first commentary in my new paper, the Atlasian Commentator. As someone bored out of my mind and itching to get back into the thick of things, and what better way to start than by speaking about the Public Interest Amendment.

There are a few conservatives who fear that this is alternately a vague languaged piece of liberal pus. Others, most notably Jake, have fears that this is another Porce power grab. As someone who is ever mindful of the Porce Presidency of oh so long ago, one could be easily swayed that Porce and his cronies just want a power grab. However, here's what I really think.

Reigons aren't really what they used to be. None of them are really active. Regional power can't really be at stake when there isn't that much to begin with. The real active body is the Senate. They are just being granted a little more regulation power except where constitutionally forbidden. Besides, even if it did... We're about to get a Supreme Court shakeup and a case would be a fun little challenge for them. I say pass it, and let's see what happens.

On to more things to think about, who are the leading Presidential contenders? I love a good campaign, even if I wasn't able to finish alot of mine due to other considerations, primarily within my family, and with the woman I was going to marry. More on that at another time and place.

All these parties make me want to throw up. Good god, is it really necessary? I'm having trouble keeping track of who's where. Be patient and work with the party your with now.

I would like to announce the passings of two great Atlasians. StatesRights and Texasgurl. Both had been around for a long time, and both were friends of mine. They will be sorely missed.

That's all for now, tune in for more commentary or news real soon.

Which cronies?  I'd like to know.

I don't hold the same ideology now as a Senator that I did as a President.  And the public interest amendment is hardly a power grab, unless you think environmental regulations will lead to the suspension of the right to free speech (which is guaranteed by another clause anyway)...

Who says anything... The terms were meant as ambivilant and mocking to those who don't support the amendment. What are you explaining?

Well, I guess I don't understand what people like Jake are referring to with those statements.
