It might have, but the president would have actually apprehended the group responsible, as HIS daddy wasn't business partners with them.

Gore would not have went to war with Iraq. He would let the UN do what it needed to do. If Bush was never elected then the republican would not be in the bad shape they are in now. Heck alot of things would be better.

Some might be. But things in Iraq would be just as bad.

9/11 would most likely have happened under any other president as well.

To state otherwise is probably as hackish as a comment like "had Gore/Kerry become president, more 9/11-style attacks on the U.S. would have happened by now".

Concerning the Iraq question, I agree with the notion that a Democratic president (e.g. Gore) would most likely have attacked Afghanistan, but not Iraq (since Iraq was largely an experiment to prove the feasibility of neo-conservative foreign policy theories).

And we would still have people that believe that Saddam Hussien had a role in the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States. (Well that's up to you Democrats to decide)

They wouldn't if no one ever planted the suggestion in the first place.

Well it could have been brought up by Republican neocons in the Congress. Who wanted to have a War with Iraq.

The Republicans in Congress just went along with what Bush wanted. As far as I can tell, they only called for war because Bush called for war. Reminds me of Pericles speaking to the Athenians: they didn't have to agree with him, but no one wanted to be seen as in opposition.
