i disagree with the idea that if you once worked in partisan politics then you cant be objective.

tim russert once worked for cuomo, but in no way do i believe he is trying to help the democrats.  i think he is very objective.

all of oyu johnny edwards fans will remember his appearance on 'meet the press' where russert pretty much made him look like an airhead.

Fox has Alan Colmes, Mara Liason from NPR, Juan Williams from NPR, and Greta van Sustren as their liberals.

More mportantly, they have people like Carl Cameron, Major Garret, and others who do not have an obvious bias.  In case you didn't know, that is what a journalist is supposed to be.

Carl Cameron, no obvious bias? Please. Have you seen the footage of his interview with Bush during the campaign 4 years ago? His wife volunteered for Bush. On any other network, if your spouse volunteers for a candidate, you won't cover that very same candidate.

Cameron was the guy who broke the Bush drunk driving story 4 years ago.  He obviously keeps his personal feelings out of his reporting.

Fox said Lieberman was the only good democrat for coming on the show and agreeing with them on somethings.

No, a host on FOX said that.  Hannity in this case.

Under your rules CNN said that 4 more years of Bush would be a disaster.  You would have no problem with that because you agree with the sentiment.

But anyway, I mostly watched CSPAN for live convention coverage. Mainly because they just show the convention with no stupid comments from Larry King or whoever.

C-SPAN was great, when I actually watched it. All the speeches from all the people there, no idiotic commentary.

This is spin. The story was broken by a local television reporter. Fox News Channel ran  the story only when they saw that it was already being carried by other media. And immediately after they ran it, they put up a dozen pundits to say that it was irrelevant to the election.

Also, FNC had Mary Pat Cahill on at least 5 times during the last four days.  I counted Gillespie once.  They had Rendell, Gary Hart, Sharpton, Moore, and Dean.
Fox handled the convention well.  They brought in a good mix of conservatives, moderates, and liberals, and they showed the important speeches.  Also, Brit Hume and Chris Wallace were great.

As for the others, I didn't watch NBC,CBS, or CNN, and only tuned into ABC for Edward's speech.

I watched C-SPAN if I wanted to see a speaker, like Martin O'Malley, my next governor (hopefully) but usually CNN. They usually have the best analysis and people.

Fox coverage was ok, but CNN's was great (last night) . . . catching the convention's head cursing on live tv.  hahaha
I happened to catch that bit on CNN as well. I was impressed that they kept it running when the foul up was clear. IMO the funniest part of all the convention coverage.

I heard that Fox was actually doing running-commentry counter-points during one of the speech's - Edward's I believe.  It would be fairer to let him say his piece so that they can cut it apart afterward.  I watched C-Span though.  I hate the spin, let me think about it.  I don't have Fox but I did hear that they had the best post-convention coverage.  They showed the fireworks, Kerry and Edwards.  They stepped back and let the viewers see the moment without cynisism.
