Wow. I'm surprised this happened after his Iowa straw-poll showing.

I'm surprised too. It will give me a chance to see if he's decent.

That's quite cool, since most candidates deserve a fair shot at getting their message heard. I wasn't impressed by his speech at the straw poll; in fact, I thought he was quite awful but it's good to see that he'll get airtime. Don't expect him to be asked that many questions though

I suppose the only reason they didn't include him before was that there was too many candidates. Now with a few dropped out they can afford to add him.

In his Cox's defense, he has as much as chance at winning as all but 2 or 3 of the Republican candidates.

The cynical black helicopter part of me wants to think he was invited just to make sure none of the lower tier gets enough time to make an impact. That being said, I believe he opposes the war, and hey,  by being invited to this, he's become more succesful then most of the people who run for President.

Ridiculous, stupid, pointless, irritating, and annoying.

Why don't they invite me to the GOP debates too?  After all, I just won a straw poll this past week.

No, Cox doesn't oppose the war, at least not to my knowledge.

I could be mistaken, but I heard him say something at the ames straw poll about how the "Iraq war was a unnecessary drain on our ability to fight the real war on terror." But maybe he just meant it was conducted poorly. Let me try to find a transcript.

EDIT: The only thing I found was where he told Pelosi and Reed to stop playing general, so it appears you were right. Well, at least it still highlights Paul as the only anti war candidate, so that’s a plus. But with Thompson about to enter, do we really need to bring Cox into the equation? What if Newt enters then, we'll have 11 guys on the stage.

Newt won't be running, and I suspect Hunter won't be able to keep this thing going for much longer. That would mean 9 people on the stage.

A withdrawn Hunter has a better shot at the nomination than a Cox that's still in the race.

Good for him. He seems to be a fellow of relatively modest means who's intent on having his voice heard. Letting voters hear his viewpoints is good for democracy, good for him, and good Republicans.

Not really. Both of them are at 0% just about everywhere and only one of them is getting any air time.

I'm glad they finally invited him to a debate personally.

You would be a more credible candidate than Cox.  I mean that as a compliment, not an insult.
