I hate both men but they are should be allowed a voice. Last night we had the clash of the Right and the left. Both of them selected very good questions. Moore looked in trouble when Bill went into him with Afghanistan but Moore came back with two heavy blows.

When Moore asked what would you say to the families that have lost someone, what was the reason. Bill said the WRONG ANSWER. IT WAS NOT BECAUSE SADDAM WAS A BRUTAL DICTATOR BUT BECAUSE he was an imminent threat who had weapons of mass destruction. Republicans lie to themselves. Could you imagine if Gore had done that. The intelligence was wrong so Bush should do what Blair did APOLOGISE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

I hope that people could give me a reason why they would be happy to sacrifice there closest love one. Republicans REFUSE TO CRITICISE BUSH not because hes right or wrong but because they are stubborn. Think about it had Gore won and done what Bush did would FOX DEFEND THE WAR?Huh? Would this race be close? NO

Nomore - I saw the interview too. Moore killed him with Falluja. O`Reilly just wouldn`t answer it he just tried to put spin on it. Like the Sharpton interview they have showed to real Americans that Bill is a true Republican.

I would love to see Howard Dean go at it with him. I do hope that O`Reilly asks Cheney that question? Would you sacrifice your lesbian daughter to secure Falluja? REMEMBER BILL AND DICK ITS THE NO SPIN ZONE

The fallacy with Moore's position is that I could not choose to sacrifice my child's life.  My child would have willingly chose to serve their country.  If they ended up paying the ultimate price int he line of duty I would be saddened beyond words, but I can never sacrifice my child since it is never my decision to make.

Also, Bill was answering based on what we know now, not what the original mission was.  He was not lying to himself or anyone, but adjusting his position to the facts on the ground.  If Moore has asked him what the original mission was, Bill's answer would be a lie, but he asked what Bill would tell the parents of a dead soldier today.

EDITS:

1- Bill O'Reilly speaks only for himself and not any official position for FOX News.  Did anyone think that Savage's (Michael, not Randy) positions on MSNBC were the official position?  No.  Please try and get your facts straight.  I know how hard it is for you based on your posting histiry, but try.

2-  Stop talking to yourself.

Thats the cost of WAR.

Bush know that Americans would die. Not many died in combat before the "mission accomplished" speech. Republicans tell us that Iraq was necessary they used the intelligence services that did not stop 9/11. They have said constantly that Iraq was the right thing too do. Blair has apologised to the British people and the families who have suffered the pain of a loss life. BUS HAS DONE NEITHER.

Falluja shows how unprepared this administration was. They violated the UN CHARTER with the invasion of Iraq. They stopped inspections when that was all the UN SECURITY COUNCIL ASKED FOR.

France would never had agreed. But the right message in Iraq would have been to get the agreement of the likes of Pakistan, Chile, Mexico and Guinea who only wanted inspections to end. This administrations inpatience COST OUR GREAT COUNTRY 900 MEN.

those who defend this policy i have to question there patriotism! I will not apologise for that remark. You question my judgement then retort. This is america where freedom of speech is allowed. THIS FORUM IS NOT A DICTATORSHIP. IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT I SAY DONT READ MY MESSAGES.

I missed the interview.  Sounds interesting.

On the forum though.  Their are a couple very vocal, vigilant, and at time insulting apologists of the Bush administration on this board.

However surveys in the message board, as well as the poll, and to some extent the prediction you can tell that their are a lot of people that go on the board and participate but do not post as many messages.

Part of the reason that I believe others don't post messages is because the frequent Republican posters sometimes create a hostile environment though they will jump on you even if you take even a subtle dig at Bush.

Here though it is mostly harmless and I do enjoy the board as much as it frustrates me sometimes becuase it is diverse, people get information quickly and it is small enough so that you know more or less who you are debating with and the types of arguements that your opponents have made in the past.

hehehe

You have a right to your insanity, but should insane people be allowed to vote?

(Not that there aren't plenty of perfectly sane liberals and conservatives.)

Moore kicke O'Really's a** in that interview.  Bill had lousy responses to each of Mike's questions.

"Bush was misled by the CIA, so it wasn't really lying to the American people to take them into a war of choice in which his buddies in TX like Brown & Root and Halliburton just happen to make a killing."

O'Really is losing his edge and he knew it.  The next day he felt so trounced he had to compare Moore to Goebbels.

Pathetic.

What channel were you watching?  Moore dodged every single on of O'Reilly's questions, he failed to pruduce a single answer, I was listening really closely

O'Reilly could have done a better job on the issue of whether or not he'd sacrifice his son (didn't seem ready for it, I thought), but I had low expectations for Moore. O'Reilly is a debater, Moore is not. O'Reilly should have been able to pound him into the ground on everything. Moore is best when he's in a venue where he argues his side, then presents and characterizes your side, edits to his liking, then gets the final say; gosh, like one of his horrible, wrong-headed movies.
