Gee... I am amazed that Georgia doesn't SURGICALLY castrate those they find to be deviant. About half of Americans has sex when they are teenagers, a law that criminalizes half of the behaviors that Americans consent is bad law. This is why marijuana bans and abortion bans are bad law too... because a proper and equal administration of justice would put society at war with itself.

This means:

(1) Race simply isn't an issue in progressive America, like it is in Europe;

(2) The girls were white, and the articles which were generally sympathetic to Genarlow Wilson, didn't want to inflame readers, who would not believe the acts were consensual;

(3) The girls were black, and so there was no particular race issue to play, and the less said about their activities or the rape charge, the easier it is to simplify the presentation of the case.
