Who was behind the whole Yates fake poster thing? It seems odd to me that such a fake poster along with the claims he made could remain undetected for so long?

After doing a little look up, it was probably Ben Meyers or something.  Didn't he have a brother who had some account or something for awhile then left?

He was pretty active when I left. Him and his brother...WiseGuy (now RonPaul08).

Ben doesn't post here anymore, but WiseGuy still shows up every few weeks to a month

CheeseWhiz and WiseGuy / Ron Dubya / RonPaul08 are brothers.

Ben Meyers and Yates did exist at the same time though both had several disappearing acts.

Ben Meyers was last active in Feb. 2006. I know he was on AIM once in a while but I haven't paid attention lately.

Looks like we'll never find out who was behind Yates.

I got an idea on how to solve this mystery! We will form the "Yates Commission," based upon the Warren Commission, to fin dout who's behind this. The members of the commision shall consist of:

WalterMitty
Mike Naso
Ebowed
EarlAW
Keystone Phil
DWTL
Afleitch

Using these seven people, we will have them collect evidence and come to a conclusion on who was behind "Yatesgate". We will then accept their conclusion blindly and then see another fake poster come onto the forum and "ban" the suspect. This fake poster will be banned for life as well.

True, this probably won't help us catch who did "Yatesgate," but the results will be hilarious.

I'm surprised nobody has noticed I left the forum around the time Yates got here, came back when Yates had to leave due to his brain tumor, and proceeded to talk bad about Porce (the first one to think Yates was a fake) for no reason.

It's not me, but it's a hell of a coincidence.
