The Data isn't backing up what Democrats are claiming...

Agree that voter reg stats in FL are pretty bad for Dems; however there is the silver lining that it seems like functionally Dem voters are more likely to register as NPAs than functional R voters these days. In places like Seminole County you have large surges of NPAs which if I had to guess help Ds.

@Progressive Democrat
Seminole County though is actually a County that's being trending Blue for the last Eight years or so.
Romney won it by a fair amount in 2012, Trump barely won it in 2016 and Biden won it in 2020.

With the DeSantis gerrymandered Congressional Map Democrats have no chance to win FL-7 (Stephanie Murphys former Seat now held by Rep. Cory Mills). If it had not been gerrymandered then D's would have probably had a shot given how Seminole is trending.

Agree and honestly Seminole isn’t that big of a county in the context of Florida; nowhere near enough to offset more problematic places like metro Miami and Tampa. There are a few pockets of FL where shifts are decent for Dems but it’s not enough.

Everyone was so excited about TX turning blue and both of them are off the table TX and FL are red states with blue metros Miami and Dallas. If you go on You tube and look at 2016 Biden is exactly where Hillary left off 319 not 415

The vibe I am hearing from South Florida in particular is that Republicans & NPA's are massivly upset of the Biden Admin dumping thousands of illegal migrants into their City and my guess is Biden is going to pay for it in November.

He dumped nearly 400,000 people into Miami since taking Office in 2021 without consulting the FL Govtm at all. Everyone not named a hard core Democrat is pretty upset.

Lots of times spending money in places begets more money from small dollar donors who see an ad for you and realize ‘oh yeah, an election is happening’.

It is always worthwhile to spend money in every conceivably competitive place, because the marginal value of additional ads or spending in swing states is so low. You’d much rather make a bigger impact in a state that you’ll end up losing, both because the PV sorta matters for perception reasons and for downballot races that are not a lost cause.

Besides, advertising doesn’t do much other than turn out your base. You can only turn out your base at so high a rate in places like PA, it’s not like someone seeing 15 ads a week instead of 12 is going to make them more likely to show up and vote for you. Seeing 3 ads a week instead of 0 in a place like Florida, though, might.

Biden can win Florida.  Not to say he will, but he can.

I think he might win Florida.

I can see him winning narrowly Florida and losing one of the "Blue Wall" states, or PA.

as someone living in Florida, i’d say this premise is laughable

If you want to cry, then cry

I love the "Hope Florida" Initiative! It's fantastic! I used to do similar things in my Country for people in need.

Why not? They have more than enough cash and boosting Dem turnout is crucial in getting the abortion amendment over 60%. That might not help Dems win elections, but it will make a difference to millions of women in the Southeast.
