Agreed.

I would still make a difference between Mitch and Johnson on this particular issue though, because the former was much more clear from the start. While he doesn't deserve any credit for his legacy of doing severe harm on the senate as an institution, he never questioned the need to help Ukraine or allowed the crazies to hold it up.

This is going to annoy a lot of people, but Biden given credit when credit is due is part of the reason why these deals can happen in the first place.

Yup, but I think it may annoy more on the right that their congressional leaders get praise from Biden. Especially significant for Johnson. McTurtleman doesn't need to worry because he's in his last term and leaving leadership next term.
