Isn’t this all one bill? The President does not have line item veto power.

House passed a rule beforehand stating that if all 4 pass , it would all be counted as one bill

Huh - something politically savvy emerging from *this* House of Representatives.

Kudos, I might have (to borrow a phrase) misunderestimated Johnson.

The House voted overwhelmingly to fund genocide. And Biden is going to sign it. And then he or Trump is going to win the election. This is the world we live in, folks.

No, all of them should be swiftly approved. Also, this gives the US more leverage over Israel than just leaving them alone. Not to mention the only parties benefitting from blocking Israel aid are Iran and its proxies. No thanks.

Unfortunately the whole package is counted as a single bill even though it passed separately (I had no idea this was allowed under House rules, but apparently it is). Also unfortunately Biden would never veto Israel aid in the first place. But at the end of the day, whether or not Israel receives this support will change very little for civilians in Gaza, while Ukraine not receiving the support it needs would be catastrophic for its own civilians. The only responsible humanitarian course of action is to pass the whole thing.

This.  Also, even if these were all separate bills before the Senate, he still wouldn't (and shouldn't) veto aid to Israel.  It is precisely because he has been so close to Israel that Netanyahu's government did not respond more harshly to recent Iranian provocation, thereby avoiding a regional conflagration.

The congressmen who voted against it are all massive FFs (well, at least the Dems) but Biden should not veto anything as funding Ukraine is far more important.
