Who cares? Everyone gets drunk from time to time, and as the president of France, he has to represent the habits of his countrymen occasionally. Only British tabloids care about whether so-and-so seems disoriented.

Claiming to be anti-alcoholic, not getting drunk. Not that I agree on this one.
Of course, the bottom line is - he should just admit to having shared a Voddy with Vladimir Putin (or let an aide admit it). Even if it's not actually true. Because otherwise, it's going to leave lasting and IMHO justified doubts about his sanity.
