I remember that I did this in the past. I'm glad people have copied it.

Btw, is that small Grey strip jutting out into the sea slightly south of Thessalonki Mount Athos?

Yes, it is.

And with real PR

ND: 41,8% -3,6, 129M
PASOK: 38,1% -2,4, 118M
KKE: 8,2% +2,3% 25M
SYRIZA: 5,0% +1,7, 16M
LAOS: 3,8% +1,6, 12M

Right: 141M 45,6%
Left: 159M 51,3%

Totally grotesque that ND can continue as a majority government! Reminds me of the old Norwegian system that favored Labour.

Comparing the current system with the previous one...

2004 elections really / under 2007 system:
ND 165 - 164
PASOK 117 - 111
KKE 12 - 16
Synapsismos 6 - 9

2007 elections really / under 2004 system:

Will take a couple of hours to calculate. Grin

Hotdamn. That description I read just this morning of how it supposedly worked is clearly inaccurate. So bah, I'm calculating what 2004 and 2007 would have looked like under the rules described there instead.

EDIT: Beh, that's too much work for so little point.
I'll just do a provincewide D'Hondt for either election.

EDIT2: Not really surprisingly, he PASOK would benefit from such a system compared to either hte current system or even its predecessor, while the minor parties would suffer:
(brackets: compared to reality)
2004 : ND 158 (-7) PASOK 133 (+16) KKE 6 (-6) Synapsismos 3 (-3)
2007 : ND 151 (-1) PASOK 127 (+25) KKE 12 (-10) Synapsismos 6 (-8) LAOS 4 (-6)

However, with Constituency Hare-Niemeyer (assuming no thresholds)

2004 ND 151 PASOK 124 KKE 16 Synapsismos 5 LAOS 3 DIKKI 1
2007 ND 138 PASOK 120 KKE 23 Synapsismos 11 LAOS 6 Greens 1 DIANA 1
