The patience of Khamenei is really being tested. An Israeli-Iranian war means my family can finally go home to a democratic Iran, I’ll take that.

Previously Iran was doing the bare minimum against Israel, not wanting to escalate towards war at this fragile time, but Israel has been testing that policy since the attack on Ahvaz a while back and escalating by assisting the MEK and separatists last year. Khamenei’s wishes to maintain the peace is rapidly losing favor.

I’m hoping for any escalation to be over soon so my family can enjoy their holidays next year in a free country. Hopefully many responsible for this attack are taken with it.

Means people are just being gross. For someone who has been called a HP there's a unmistakable number of pure idiots posting here. One celebrates murder of 100+ people, second is wishing a war where millions of families will die so his can return somewhere. With pure propaganda videos being posted on Israel war topic this place is really something.

Despite the excited speculation above I highly doubt that "Israel" did this. So, who was it?

Hopefully many go down in their efforts, I salute them.

Whatever proxy did this is an extension of Israel.

Sort of a mystery. Maybe Turkmen or Balochi nationalists? Or maybe al Qaeda? ISIS claimed a terrorist attack there in 2022, so maybe them. It doesn't feel like Israel's modus operandi, but they can't be completely ruled out, either.

Jaish ul-Adl or Ansar al-Furqan is most likely.

This seems to make Iran more likely to get involved in the Israel-Hamas war. F**k.

For once a not wildly overstated post from you.

No, it doesn't really help matters whoever was actually responsible.

if this attack had fit the typical Israeli modus operandi we'd have no problem naming who was responsible, but because it doesn't fit, we just have to be content with not knowing who it was.  Funny how that works innit?

This was always the most likely scenario.

For any debates about the IDF's aggressiveness in the aftermath of the genocidal act perpetrated on Israel, spectacularly bloody "message" attacks like this are not their MO. By contrast, large numbers of civilian casualties in soft target locations are ISIS' bread and butter.

If we have to presumably give anyone credit for this, Daesh isn't necessarily the most likely candidate. Baluchi nationalists seem most likely to me.
