They clearly know where their bread is buttered:

Texas is a cultural s__thole (like Florida). There are a lot of good aspects for sure, but the bad outweighs the good.

Quote
”I've had meetings with transgenders, gays and lesbian,” (Republican State Senator Bob) Hall said. “Does that make me a transgender, gay or a lesbian?”

Asked if he was comparing gay people to white supremacists or Hitler admirers like Fuentes, Hall responded: “I’m talking about people who are political hot potatoes.”

The far right is really starting to break into the mainstream GOP now. Fuentes is getting close to acceptable.

Imagine the outrage if a state Dem's party rejected a proposed ban associating with Tankies. Absolutely unreal and another reason why I'm still a swing voter.

I think many longtime activist Republicans are keenly aware of how much they owe their political success (especially in the South) to the Ku Klux Klan's decision to support them, so in a way, I suppose this rejection of the proposed ban makes sense in that context.

Well, at least one state GOP still stands with Ukraine. Justin Trudeau would be proud.
