Paws need Laws Act

I. SHORT TITLE

This Act may be cited as the Paws need Laws Act

II. GENERAL

1. No person shall slaughter or cause to be slaughtered any animal listed as threatened or endangered in accordance with local and international wildlife protection standards. with the intent of human consumption. This shall not apply to federally recognized Atlasian Native Tribal Groups where there are currently existing agreements on the type and number of animals that can be harvested.

2. No persons outside of protected Atlasian Native Tribal groups shall poach or cause intentional harm to any animal listed as threatened or endangered in accordance with local and international wildlife protection standards.

3. It is prohibited to produce, distribute, sell, or offer for sale any products made from the meat, horns or fur of the animals listed in II.1 and II.2 for the purpose of human consumption. This shall not apply to federally recognized Atlasian Native Tribal Groups where there are currently existing agreements on the type and number of animals that can be harvested.

4. Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of this Act shall be subject to imprisonment of up to 20 years per animal harmed.
i. Additionally, the individual or entity shall be fined no less than $100,000.

III. EFFECTIVE DATE

This Act shall go into effect upon lawful passage.
