you know what would be embarrasing?  If a candidate like Romney actually defeated a Democrat in 2008.

 I predict a wave of mass-suicides by democrats on November 3, 2008.  it will not be pretty

Not going to happen. The religious right is not going to vote for a Mormon. Without them, the Republicans have no chance.

The actual power brokers of the party give lip service to the religious right, and the occaisonal significant public office.

The right are great at two things 1. Turnout 2. Fundraising.
