did literally anyone here actually take two minutes to read the article, maybe follow up on the links contained within, what the organization itself said?? Or is everyone literally just taking the thread title at face value and reacting to it in a vacuum?

There's literally zero mention of men using a fake non-binary label. It's about dudes, normal binary dudes, showing up in droves at the job fair and elbowing out women and enbies the event was meant for. This organization keeps track of the data provided by each attendee, and they are specifically addressing the dramatic increase in attendee who self-identified as male -- as in, these dudes explicitly did NOT lie or claim to be non-binary, but rather accurately reported themselves as male to the organizers.

The real story here is this organization hiding behind vague "federal non-descrimination laws" as the supposed justification for why they supposedly can't exclude men even though other "women/enbies in tech" organizations have literally never faced any legal repercussions from doing so.

I expect the motive is financial - check the replies on their post, several people are sharing screenshots of male attendees paying $1,000 fees for the privilege of special one-on-one meetings with recruiters, with many other commentators corroborating with their own observations

the real story here: bad nonprofit is bad

don't twist into BS about GENDER POLITICS or whatever

are you really THIS desperate to disparage enbies?

Atlas forums and uncritically swallowing outrage-bait headlines, name a more iconic duo

edit: lol, even the video clips presented as "evidence" directly condemn cisgender men. For a forum of supposedly smart people y'all need some media literacy training.

want to know the saddest part?

even now, after you and I have both explained how/why the OP is total BS, there's still like an 80% chance we're gonna see future posts in this topic from people who continue to fall for bait title

I see it all the time - people just immediately falling for the bait without bothering to even read past the OP. even though it's been debunked. i guess some people are just really desperate to believe something if it confirms their preconceived notions
