Keystone Phil went on the WarPath after the loss of Santorum... what did he do? He went after those of us who are happy to see the back of him... Why? Because his daughter cried.

I agree there are some very aggressive people on both sides who need to cool it down a little, and bring things to the level of civil. But one side is most certainly not more to blame than the other.

On the topic of McCain - I was a semi-fan in 2000, but ever since he ran cap in hand to grovel at Bushy's side - I lost all respect for the man.

I must have missed the posts to which you referred.

I know I have seen a what seems to me to be a lot of extreme name calling coming from the lefties here the past month.

Well, as much as I enjoyed Phil's posts...you couldn't hint at distaste for Santorum without him whining about the 06 results.

Amazing how much the democrats and even republicans on the forum turned on McCain in just one year...I'm starting to wonder if I no longer fit the times of the forum, when it wasn't slanted with a bias.

McCain hasn't lost a lot of Republicans lately; he lost them between McCain-Feingold and attempting to win the 2000 Republican primary on Democrat and Independent support.

BTW, have you noticed the problem I referred to of left-wing posters slurring others and engaged in bizarre attacks?

I am amazed no one has mentioned dazzleman yet, who, for taking the time to make intelligent argument, was compared by memphis to a child predator.

Yes, given all of the suggestive statements he was making towards Rin-Chan, and it should also be noted that he never could make a single argument without bashing liberals in some way.

I am sure deano's "grind you into hamburger and feed you to your folks" claptrap was warranted due to "bashing liberals in some way."

My God you are unbelievably ignorant. Go read the thread where I said that. Two other posters had started joking around about putting Phil and I in a cage for a fight till the death. I found it funny and thought I would play along by throwing in a joke about the South Park episode where Cartman turned a kid's parents into chili and tricked him into eating it. What I said, when taken in context of what previous postes had already been joking about, was obviously not meant to be taken seriously or taken as a threat. Only complete fcuking morons would take it that way or pretend to take it that way. The fact that yourself and Phil are among the very, very few posters to have taken it that way proves my point Wink. Sadly, it was one of MANY examples where certain posters on this forum have demostrated a complete lack of a a sense of humor or ability to recognize sarcasm when they read it.

And don't even get me started on your unbelievable hypocrisy - Phil started that same thread where I said that just to simply bash me and spout his personal feelings about me. So to answer your question - YES, what I said WAS actually a result of "bashing liberals in some way". I can't imagine anyone else on this forum - liberal, conservative, whatever - who would be so petty and classless as Phil as to start a thread just to stir up a public fight with another forrumer for all to see and comment on. I've never seen anyone else create a thread simply to attack someone else. The forum is better off w/out Phil. He was nothing but an ignorant, childish drama queen who could dish it out just fine but couldn't take it.

Good point.

Dazzleman was one of the most thoughtful posters on this forum.  I hope he returns.

I was lurking on the forum for other reasons and came across this nice post. I have read other nasty things said about me by some other members and that's fine. I am letting those things roll off my back because 1) I just don't care anymore and 2) I have other things to worry about at this time.

I will, however, take offense to untrue statements such as this one. I don't think you were trying to be malicious, adam, but to say that I whined about the results everytime Santorum was brought up. Go find the thread where I civily accepted the defeat just hours after it was over. I didn't run and hide. I didn't complain. I didn't throw a fit (though it could be argued that it was warranted) like some other posters here. You don't like my defense of Santorum and his family? Fine, I can live with that. However, I don't appreciate people making up that I constantly whined about the results.
