At his Waco rally yesterday, Trump said about MTG: "Would you like to run for the Senate? I will fight like hell for you." Now, obviously somebody as unhinged as Greene wouldn't win this race, even in a Biden midterm, but exactly by how much would Ossoff defeat her by?

Higher single digits. GA is polarized...so I have doubts even MTG would lose by more than that.

Well she did worse than even Herschel did in the same overlapping counties, by around 4-5 points. Extrapolating that out would be an Ossoff win of about 6-8 points.

I'll say she loses by low double digits, say 54-43.  She's too crazy for even some of the Republicans I know, and the demographic trends in the state will be that much worse for the GOP by 2026.

She’d lose by 7-8 in a Dem midterm, and 9-10 in an R midterm

Hot take: While she'd lose, it wouldn't be by much more than a generic GOPer, which is already a MAGA candidate.

So in a Biden midterm Ossoff wins by 3-4 pts. instead of 1-2 pts, and during a Trump midterm, Ossoff prevails by 5-6 pts. instead 3-5 pts.

How about a DeSantis midterm?

Similar to Trump or slightly better for the GOP, though that's just wild guessing because we have no idea in what political and economic climate the 2026 election takes place in.

She did worse than even Walker in a more inflexible part of the state. I think she would be that uniquely bad. She effectively Sarah Palinized herself as a conservative media attention whore.

Agreed. This would be like the Georgia senate version of the 2022 Pennsylvania gubernatorial election.
