Rand Paul is a pretty bad fit for Kentucky. Pelosi seems like a good fit for her district. Fetterman is pretty good for Pennsylvania (Oz would have been terrible). Mitt Romney is pretty much perfect for Utah.

These come to my mind, incomplete list:

Good fits: Jon Tester, Sherrod Brown, Jared Polis, Bob Casey, Ron DeSantis, Raphael Warnock, John Fetterman, Katie Britt, Henry Cuellar, Mike DeWine, Nancy Mace, Jim Justice, Mitt Romney

Bad fits: Rand Paul, Dianne Feinstein, Kathy Hochul, Keith Ellison, Mark Robinson, Jerry Nadler, Mike Lee, Anna Paulina Luna

Best?
-Peltola, MGP, Golden, Kaptur, Cartwright "ran way the heck ahead of Biden in blue-collar districts" types
-Rural Black Belt reps like Bennie Thompson, Sanford Bishop, Jim Clyburn, Terri Sewell, Donald Davis
-Barbara Lee is tailor-made for her leftist district
-Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar represent districts that have historically elected hard-right politicians (Bob Stump and Larry MacDonald)
-A good number of random suburban Dems have huge suburban energy like Houlahan, Dean, Mike Levin, Gottheimer, Lauren Underwood,
-Pete Stauber because he's a former hockey player in one of the country's most hockey-crazed areas and (guessing here) a union member in a very union-heavy area
-Breechen, Ronny Jackson, Morgan Griffith, and a number of other right-wingers from rural areas
-Brian Fitzpatrick is peak Bucks County

Best fits:
Chris Sununu--NH (Moderately socially liberal/fiscally conservative; perfect fit for the electorate)
JD Vance--OH (Can hardly think of a better fit for a state)
Maura Healey--MA (Very socially progressive and economically center-left which plays well)
Kristi Noem--SD (Conservative populist firebrand who did well in many of the states ancesteral Dem areas)
Gavin Newsom--CA (Stereotypical Bay Area politician; survived a recall attempt by over 20 points)

Worst Fits:
Rand Paul--KY (He'd make much more sense in a Western state)
Mitch McConnell--KY (See above)
Rick Scott--FL (Poor fit with its senior population)
Ron DeSantis--FL (At least in theory. He won in a landslide which makes little sense because he's socially reactionary which contrasts with its socially moderate electorate and the Latinos love him despite his anti-immigrant actions).
Krysten Sinema--AZ (She'd make a better senator in one of the Northeastern states)

"good fits": politicians who win
"bad fits": politicians who lose

There's nothing special about it

Mike Lee is a good fit for parts of Utah that Mitt Romney isn't such a good a fit for. Together they manage to fit their state pretty well.
