Best known through a ton of supporting roles in thriller, action, or war movies in and around the 90s including Born on the Fourth of July, True Romance, Natural Born Killers, Strange Days, Heat, Saving Private Ryan, and Black Hawk Down.

The first movie I ever saw that he appeared in was Hearts and Souls, with Robert Downey Jr., Alfre Woodard, Charles Grodin, and Kyra Sedgewick. It was a very schmaltzy, highly sentimental movie with a plot that didn't make a whole lot of sense.

He was a lot of fun in Twin Peaks: The Return. Wasn't made all that long ago and already a gloomily high proportion of the cast have now died.
