How do they film the sky dive?

I have seen some films, like 007 and American action movies. I wonder how they film the sky dive?
Do they really jump from the plane at that height? Or they use the "Green screen“ technology？

if it looks good, they actually did it.  Tom Cruise rather famously, does all (most?) his own stunts, including sky diving scenes.  Patrick Swayze did 55 jumps while filming Point Break.

They usually really do it, and they have a camera operator(s) sky dive and film as they fall along with the actor(s).
