In a matchup between a Harris/Buttigieg and a DeSantis/Youngkin ticket, who would win?

(Map of what I think 2024 Competitive will look like)

Desantis/Youngkin would win over 350 EVs/+5 PV. That democrat ticket is one of the worst ones imaginable, only thing worse would be if you reverse it.

I'm thinking DeSantis/Youngkin wins this race pretty handily.

That is a wet dream matchup for the GOP. Probably the most ideal situation. DeSantis/Younkin win and their victory would be the largest GOP win in a presidential race since 1988. They would eclipse Trumps 306 electoral count in 2016.

While I generally agree Youngkin and DeSantis would be favored, I think "candidate quality" isn't something that one can truly be confident of until the day of the election, and much of it is hindsight.

A hypothetical DeSantis/Youngkin ticket could have a ton of gaffes, and may struggle to unite the Republican Party whereas Harris is successfully able to rebrand herself a bit and Buttigieg becomes widely liked for being well-spoken.

Idk but people try to predict elections too narrowly so far out. The fact is there are a lot of unforeseen things that can and will happen over the next 2 years that will affect the race.

2022 would be a great example; immediately after 2020, people wrote off the House as being long gone for Dems and while Ds did ultiamtely lose it, it was very close.

Desantis/Youngkin give me serious Clinton/Gore 1992 Vibes.

Such a race would be a deserved repudiation of Kamala Harris, whom everyone thinks is an idiot.  Including Democrats, most of whom would love to dump her from the ticket without it being messy.
