Not to justify Milei's erratic and often childish behavior, but if Sánchez's own ministers are going to be the ones hurling insults at him first... can the Spanish government really claim a moral high ground here? I'm not that convinced myself.

We get it, you're the kind of "liberal" Supreme Court loving guy who concern trolls in favour of Milei because of his edginess.

Tell again why the misuse of funds court case against the Catalan Separatists put them behind bars while Ayuso is still a free woman. I'm still all eyes and ears.

I would not like to derail this thread with personal attacks in a Milei's fashion, so please don't go in that way.

Anyway I would like to point out that I think Milei is a seriously imbalanced person, as well as a despicable piece of scum that is inflicting intolerable suffering on the Argentinian people. Certainly a majority of Argentinian voters backed him last year, weary of the incompetence of previous governments, but I'm not the kind of sadist who enjoys when others make wrong decisions and pay the consequences

It's clear to me that Milei's conftontational style and his taste for cultural wars act as distractions, for the situation in Argentina is dramatic and catastrophic. The terrific state of Argentinian affairs is not only the consequence of the legacy of incompetence inherited from peronistas and macristas.  Milei is aggravating the social and economic problems with a sadist and inhumane approach devoid of compassion, based on his minarchist and authoritarian beliefs.

Despite I have a very low opinion of Milei and I feel very sorry for the Argentinians under his disgraceful rule, I strongly disapprove that members of the Spanish government make comments about alleged substance abuses. Regardless of whether Milei is a despicable person, he is the highest authority of a friendly country. i believe relationships between countries must be ruled by principles such as respect for institutions.

That being said, it's false this conflict was triggered by the comments made by the minister Óscar Puente,  for it is notorious that Milei has attacked the "evil socialists" (and Sánchez in particular) on numerous occasions before. Coming to the Steve Bannon festival in Madrid to insult Sánchez and his family is a miserable way of conduct that reveals disrespect for national sovereignty and democratic institutions.  "Conservatives" and "liberals" tempted to condone Milei's behaviour would be  equally miserable, for they could be contributing to erode our fragile liberal democracies and perhaps enabling new forms of authoritarianism. History does not repeat itself, but certainly history rhymes. Beware of that

On a side note, the economic record of this government is arguably the best in Spain’s recent history. Besides, one could contend Milei came here to boost the PSOE campaign for the upcoming EP elections

Milei doesn't believe in international customs, he believes in survival of the fittest. If I were Sanchez I'd shoot his airplane down. We saw how Argentina managed in the 70s against the hairy woman, they're a joke army. Show libertarians what survival of the fittest really means

Durruti was a libertarian. Milei is like Videla with sideburns (the comparison is stolen from Ramón Espinar)

Make sure "QUE MIRAS BOBO" is played on the announcer as he goes into the sea, so that delusional country goes back to worshipping a crackhead and a roided dwarf while they're at it

I'm reading in the news that Milei is bragging about his starring appearance at the Steve Bannon Festival in Madrid. He claims being a surfer that rides the waves of a sea made of socialist tears, but perhaps he's contributing to the PSOE campaign. Sadly for Argentina, waging cultural wars won't solve the terrific social and economic situation of our sister country

https://www.eldiario.es/politica/espana-retira-embajadora-buenos-aires-nuevos-insultos-milei_1_11383426.html

Gigachad Sanchez is recalling his ambassador from Buenos Aires "permanently". Now its time to tell the Mercosur countries it's either without Argentina or no deal at all, and that Spain will veto any trade deal with Argentina. he should also implement a law slowing down the process of Argentines being able to get Spanish passports compared to the fast track Latin American system.

(saying you are removing your ambassador permanently, is, in all seriousness, a pretty insane escalation)

It's absolutely bananas that Sánchez is withdrawing the ambassador from Buenos Aires because Milei hurt his feelings after months of insults towards Milei from members of his government and interference in the Argentine election.

Russia is invading its neighbour, Israel is committing a genocide, Morocco directly challenges Spanish territorial integrity and in none of these cases does Sánchez withdraw his ambassador. But Milei calling someone investigated for corruption "corrupt" is too far.

Milei and his supporters worldwide like to act like bullies, but they are essentially cowards. Sánchez is defending the dignity of his country and his family against the attacks of the filthy minarchist that is destroying Argentina.

Many things can be said about Sánchez,  hut he is anything but a coward. Sánchez is the only leader of the Western World who had the courage to visit Israel and tell Netanyahu to his face the massacre in Gaza is intolerable, using correct and diplomatic manners.

In contrast Milei didn't pay visit to the Spanish authorities during his first visit to Spain. Disrespect for institutions, insults and slander define the coward, dishonest and imbalanced authoritarian ruler of Argentina. Disgrace

Anyway Milei the Miserable won't destroy the longstanding friendship between the Spanish and Argentinian peoples

Why does Sanchez's enemies persist in giving him free shots at an open goal?

Pedro Sánchez announced today in Congress that Spain will formally recognize the Palestinian state, alongside Norway and Ireland. Shortly afterwards Israel announced it will recall ambassadors. It's not the first time Israel recalls its ambassador in Spain and it was expected, so nobody is concerned

Jaume Asens, who is the Comuns candidate for the upcoming EP elections within Sumar, says in a Catalan broadcaster the Hard Rock Café project won't be a red line in future negotiations with PSC. Amazingly Comuns triggered the last elections rejecting the regional budget, due to their opposition to that project. The lack of consistency revealed by Asens, in addition to the multiple errors ocommitted by Yolanda Díaz and her circle, don't augur a brilliant future for Sumar as coalition or political organization. The last poll I've seen says that Sumar would win only 3 seats in the European Parliament

Amongst other things, because he triggers them.
