Musk tweeted he is resigning, but would continue to run the software team.

His tweets aren't binding. And he still owns the company so nothing will really change.

I read that he's planning to sell Twitter to Saudi investors (who already are minority shareholders) and they were so unhappy with his trollish and unprofessional tweets, that they pretty much demanded that he quit.  No idea if there is any truth to the story.

He has two other companies, one installing chips in human brains, and another drilling tunnels under cities which probably require more attention.
