Republican advantage: 5, 6, 9, 10

Democratic advantage/Republican Representative: 3, 8

If anyone else knows of any other state's party registration by CD, please post it here.

For Iowa Dems have the advantage in 1-3 and Reps in 4&5.  As of 2006 their representatives reflect this advantage.

What districts do you think registration hasnt caught up to current politics (or where you're likely to see Conservative Democrats, Liberal Republicans)

I think Maine as a whole has a pretty decent plurality of Republicans (lots of indies too) but obviously votes dem more often than not.

Yes...it does. Especially Bucks and Chester, though the gap has narrowed in Delaware and Montco. But in all 4 the GOP has pluralities of somekind.

Which makes me wonder why did Democrats give Putnam a free pass in 2006?

NY 1 & NY3 both GOp on the Pres level in 04 due to the Bush 9/11 bounce.  Ny-1 went to Gore by 9.78, NY-3 went to gore by 13.33 (though about 8.5-9 under the current lines)

Registration on Long Island still lags behind the political reality.

That's true, but upstate does seem to be getting less and less Republican.  I would not call it liberal, but populist.  Gillibrand, who represents NY-20(Rural Upstate) is a blue dog Dem, not a liberal one.

Gillibrand I believe joined the blue dog coalition, but I wouldn't classify her as a conservative.  Steve Israel is also a member of the Blue Dog Coalition, and while he might be more conservative than some of the other LI Dem congressman (Ackerman & Bishop especially) he is no conservative.

Minnesota doesn't have partisan registration. Best I can do is primary voters. I that case:

1-GOP
2-GOP
3-DFL
4-DFL
5-DFL
6-GOP
7-DFL
8-DFL

Funny those counties IIRC have the highest % of Independents.

I imagine some of those indies are disaffected Republicans, and liberals who don't want to associate entirely with the Democratic Party, the Party of Philadelphia.

The Suburban-Urban distrust is alive and well. The National Democrats have been moderate enough to kind of reassure people (Plus Rendell's management of Philadelphia helped big time), but the more problems Philly has, the more problematic it could be for the Democrats.

Here's Minnesota's breakdown by the admittedly rather flimsy standard I used:

Rep advantage/DFL Representative/Rep Pres.: 1
DFL advantage/Rep Representative/Rep Pres.: 3
DFL advantage/DFL Representative/Rep Pres.: 7
