All of these authoritarian "think of the children" assholes need to touch grass. All of them.
Let's bring back leaded gas, those pesky kids took so much from us including child labor in the coal mines and extra troops...

And that's a lovely strawman, but I've been criticizing the Mike Bloomberg types on the left and the Ron DeSantis types on the right long before you had an account here.

I didn't realize that opposing one silly bill makes you an ancap who wants to legalize selling heroin to 12-year-old coal miners.
I'm not strawmanning you, I'm just messing around. I'm making fun of the "think of the children" types while listing things that were legitimately good. Usually the "think of the children" starts well but then goes way too far...

Again I'm messing around not tryna start a debate or anything..

Introduced by Assemblymembers Jesse Gabriel and Buffy Wicks, AB 418 proposes that California stop manufacturing, selling, or distributing foods that contain Red Dye No. 3, Titanium Dioxide, Potassium Bromate, Brominated Vegetable Oil, or Propyl Paraben.

These chemicals can cause significant health problems like increased risk of cancer, damage to the immune system and behavioral issues in children, Gabriel’s office said in a news release.

Just providing some further context.
So are you in favor of banning all drugs and junk food?

Freedom move, if we regulated sugar like we do scheduled substances we wouldn’t be as fat, I was at a middle school grad last year and I bet a lot of those kids have adult diabetes

Beyond. Parody.

If Americans got off their asses more, we wouldn't be fat. The dietary and lifestyle changes I made to my own life back in August was one of the best decisions I ever made. I didn't need a government mandate telling me to take better care of myself and read the back of the box. It appears others do.
I hope you know it’s a bit more complicated than that. Our entire food culture is a huge cause of obesity. I don’t know how to explain, but the fact that Americans just mealtime as a thing to just “go through” and mindlessly graze instead of seeing food as a major part of life and something to look forward to/enjoy is a big cause ironically enough.

If American culture actually enjoyed the meal time more, a lot of issues on obesity would be reduced. Unfortunately the opposite is happening with this mindless grazing culture regarding eating being spread to much the rest of the world.

I'm glad that a state that is consistently losing population has its priorities set straight!

I'm not taking a stance on the bill (frankly I'm undecided), I'm just providing further context.

The government in general should be more proactive in tackling America's junk food problem.

Consistently losing population = the last 3 years out of the states near 200 year history. Amazing what Fox News does the people's brains.
