If you say so, but it doesn't change reality.  WMDs have been found, along with other unknown banned equipment.  We just haven't found the large stockpiles which should be there.

I didn't hear about that.  What exactly was found?  (And was it stuff we gave to Saddam originally?)

Ugh, I'll search for my post on this tomorrow.  We discussed this at least a year ago if not two.  Things included sarin gas, chemical rounds, burried MiGs, etc.

Nothing was found.  The only supposid thing that was actaully found was stuff that had no use, no longer worked and hasn't in years.  Their were no weapons not even the lbush administration is suggesting their were at this point.

"We" does not include myself, and therefore I'm asking you to inform me. Wink

Moderate positive but I lean more towards Strong positive. I was impressed with the speech and I am moving towards approving of the President's job performance. He seemed more committed to certain parts of his agenda than he was before. I just hope he follows through with it. I have a feeling he will and will go about it in a better way now that he has to buckle down and face a different Congress.

Hahaha . . . yes, "We not including Joe" discussed this in the past.  Using Dave's search option, I'm not finding the list I made, however, here is a quick summary of the types of WMDs and banned weapons discovered so far:

- MiGs, including a variant previously unknown to be in Iraq's air force, were discovered burried outside al-Taqqadum air field.
- Sea mines (and Mine Layers) discovered outside of Umm Qasr (banned items).
- small quantities of sarin gas, mustard gas, and their munition rounds discovered, probably pre-Gulf War era (though still active) found near Baghdad airport
- ricin and botulinum found in small quantities near Sargat
- yellow cake canisters uncovered outside of Tuwaitha (near former nuclear plant) still highly radioactive .... discovered by Greenpeace of all people.
- 1500 gallons of unspecified chemicals discovered in chemical weapon lab outside of Mosul, though the lab is thought to be new.
- drone air craft and parts discovered outside al-Taji (banned items).
- disassembled modified Scud B missles, extending their range (banned items)

Som of this stuff was hidden since Saddam probably thought they wouldn't be effective against the US military. Other items were probably hidden during/post-Gulf War and forgotten.  As far as if any of these items were US-provided items, I don't know/recall.  I'm pretty sure the still classified discoveries are probably US/US allies-provided items and they are being sealed for public relations sake.

Strong positive, strong negative.  So if you voted Weak +, you voted positive.  Tongue

I know that.  What I am asking is in relation to the options we are given.

Take 'Weak-' and 'Weak+' for instance.  What exactly is the difference?

It's "weak" that's modifying the symbols, not the other way around.

Weakly positive = Weak +
Weakly negative = Weak -

Weakly negative -unlike his 2002 and 2005 SOTU addresses, if this speech is to be remembered at all, it will be largely because of the context in which it was given, and NOT the content of it itself.  Bush had largely 'stolen the thunder' of it with his White House address a few weeks ago (I think) spelling out his intentions to make one last throw of the dice by escalating the number of troops in Iraq.  There was virtually nothing meaningful left to add.

I liked The Daily Show's coverage of this.
