What is motivating her NIMBYism?

What’s wrong with her demonstrating what a burka is?

Now that I've taken off my 2020 glasses, Contreras definitely seems like a smart, impressive woman. Progressive, clearly well-thought out on policies, which are really what matters most. Although I'd still vote for Abdelhamid, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Contreras elected either.

The anti-vax stuff is a self-inflicted wound and I don’t know what she’s going for with the NIMBYism. Otherwise Maloney seems pretty lefty.

Is Carolyn Maloney really being called a DINO (Democrat in name only)?

It seems like Nadler has solidly pulled ahead here. Definitely the right choice for the district - Maloney is spotty and Patel is unproven.

Are the AWOL Hamptons voters more Nadlerites or Mahoneyites?

Midtown Manhattan at the moment outside the tourist trap zones, does seem quite the ghost town I must say at the moment.

If both Goldman and Nadler win on Tuesday, I wonder how much of their wins could be based on their presence in Trumps' impeachments. They definitely boosted their name recognition.

I think Nadler was always the favorite - he's considered a much more credible and capable rep than Maloney, and easily fended off a JD primary challenger two years ago. Goldman is probably only running at all because of his role there.

Basket was always going to win. The trump impeachment sealed it but he probably would’ve won anyway due to being slightly more progressive and being Jewish.

Put in my vote for Nadler and Kristen Gonzalez for SD-59 today.

Not especially enthused by Nadler, but the quality of the opposition is low so he was the obvious choice.

Maloney really clowned herself this entire primary. Was she always this bad?

There's a reason Patel was nearly able to beat her last time.

Yes, although she hadn't had a serious primary race until the last couple of cycles. She's just generally a clown and a loon.

Maloney, presumably; Nadler voters are more likely to be in the Hudson Valley. Of course, if you're out of town, it doesn't actually matter where you are. But it won't make a big difference either way. The sort of people who always vote will still find a way to vote, and the sort of people who don't always vote wouldn't vote in a super-low-turnout (and frankly low-stakes, since ideologically the two are not much different) primary anyway.

In my neck of the woods up in the Hudson Valley, I must say it does seem to be more and more like NY-10 and NY-12 north. I have a gay couple as tenants who live in NY-10 who use the flat up here as their countryside base, and flit back and forth, and at the local dog park, a nice young man walked up, with his cute designer poodle mix dog, and he asked the time so he knew when to go to the Amtrak station a couple of blocks away, to pick up his lawyer partner traveling up from their flat in NY-12 to go to their house in the woods, and most everything is gentrifying at warp speed as the money moves in.
