Plenty of Democrats go to the Daytona 500. NASCAR is a fun sport and the 500 is a fun event to attend.

My mom if she happened to be in Florida on Presidents' Day weekend. I'd probably go too, even though I'm not a NASCAR fan. It's fun to watch car races in person and hear all that great engine noise.

I love all sports, but my very first attendance to a NASCAR event was my last.
There was nothing there that excited me. I watched cars go around in circles all day.
My friend who went, felt the same way, and he also never attended another event.
(I can't even watch it on TV. It's just dull.)

My son's last Cub Scout camping trip was camping overnight on the infield at Daytona International Speedway.  He got to see drivers take test runs, pit crews working on cars, etc.

Not too many Democrats go to the Daytona 500.  Not too many Republicans go, either.  It's become an extremely expensive ticket.

I imagine there's quite a few. Volusia County where Daytona is in is a Kerry/Obama county so I can't imagine that some Dem/NASCAR fans didn't exist and many of the states where NASCAR fans are a clear constituency particularly in the Southeast are trending Dem.
