Didn't see this posted anywhere and it's shaping out to be pretty crazy. He just signed his ELC with the big club and figured to challenge for the backup goalie spot since Jones left in the offseason. Unfortunately, Fedotov made the mistake of announcing he was going to leave Russia BEFORE leaving Russia, and well...

Footage of his arrest.

Confirmation from league source on situation.

Please advise if this is already up elsewhere or if mods know a more appropriate place for this post. I believe it belongs somewhere on this blog as documentation of the Kremlin's brutality.

Well he's screwed until the military service ends, probably longer, I'm sure they'll find a way to keep him in and not let him free.

CSKA Moscow kinda sorta represents the military, but has long been a private organization. (well, a private organization owned by a state-owned enterprise, so at most, its players are government employees, but certainly not members of the military)

I thought I heard something about how he was "sick" and had to go to a hospital, and that might be a way for him to get away from the military for 5 seconds to talk to his agent and/or lawyer.

Why does the title say abducted?  He was arrested for breaking their laws.

If you think other countries who aren't "evil" like Russia won't grab some guy/gal off of the street for not doing their conscript duty, you're crazy.

I could easily see an Ukrainian doing a roughly comparable thing getting likewise punished by the government of Vladimir Zelensky.
War is ugly.

Fortunately for you taking you to school means I'd have to go back after just wrapping up.
