Remember the majority of the Democratic party wanted to fight in Iraq in the first place, she has a right to protest against them.

FALSE

http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2002/roll455.xml

126 Democrats against to 81 for.

And weren't you posting thread after thread about "BUSH LIED THEY DIED" not too long ago anyway BRTD?

Right, but I was attacking Bush (the one to blame), not the Democrats. Now if she wanted to protest a "Democrat" like Lieberman who's still unapologetically pro-war I wouldn't have a problem, but that's hardly the case here. She's acting like a spoiled child.

It seems to me that what she opposes is the Democrats not putting an immediate pullout at the top of their list of priorities.

All that this is telling me is that she doesn't care about who's in power; what she cares about is having the soldiers out of Iraq, which is, quite frankly, a lot more admirable to me than if she went on and on about the Republicans and then just sat on her thumbs after the Democrats got into power regardless of whether they were doing what she wanted them to.

So is Ralph Nader admirable too?

How has she changed her way of acting at all?  She wanted Congress to get the soldiers out of Iraq last year.  She still does.

My heart went out for her when she lost her son and was tactfully speaking out against the war however when she begins crashing events and disturbing the public, with zero tact,  then she became a joke. She's reminding me of a female Michael Moore.

On a seperate note: What part of OK are you from? I'm moving there next month.

It's similar to Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Do you see the anti-war group VoteVets that helped us win Congress with blatantly misleading ads (oh, how I loved those body armor ads, as stretching the truth as they did!) whining now?

Yeah, I don't think a majority of all Democrats were in favor for it, how ever 29 Democratic Senators voted for it and 21 voted against it.  http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=107&session=2&vote=00237

You didn't answer my question.  Cindy Sheehan's entire crusade has always been to get the soldiers out of Iraq.  She wanted them out of Iraq when there was a Republican Congress, and she still wants them out of Iraq now that there's a Democratic Congress.  So here is my question again: how has her mode of acting changed at all?

And how is she like Veruca Salt?  Veruca Salt wanted stuff and then wanted more stuff once she got what she originally wanted.  Cindy Sheehan has yet to get what she wanted in the first place and has not changed what she wanted at all.

I guess I would agree. While I have disagreed with her from the start, at least she was using, as you said, "tact" in her methods. However, these days she is nothing but a walking, talking, human caricature of an anti-war activist. A total joke.

(I myself do not actually live in OK, however for the next few days I am staying with my aunt in Oklahoma City. I really like it here, much more my style than Austin, Texas where I reside.)

Because even though she's been promised what she wants she's throwing a fit that she's not getting it now.

She wants the troops out NOW, and she isn't getting it.  How is she getting what she wants?

That's my point, she's being a spoiled brat. It's not like the Democrats even have the ability to pull all out troops out immediately (even though I would favor this)

BTW, DU is now quite anti-Sheehan.

Why are you so intent on proving yourself to be a deluded partisan hack, BRTD?

The thread is simply one big treatise on your hackery.

You are just being a "Republican Enabler" making up excuses for keeping troops in Bush's war.  It doesn't matter.  They still should be doing it NOW!!

Ok, enough sarcasm.

And of course they are.  They too are partisan hacks.
