for a robbery suspect?  And the wrong house?  Somebody needs to get fired and probably go to jail.

And, as always, no-knock raids should be banned except in extremely rare, life threatening type situations (ya know, the kind of events they often hide outside behind police cars waiting for someone braver and more competent to show up) and never used to arrest someone for stupid sh**t like drugs or robbery.

I was going to point this out too. SWAT teams seem very overused. Obviously, we live in a country where any psychopath can be well-armed, but by that logic you could justify sending SWAT in for any search. In my opinion, SWAT teams should be used only when they're going after a suspect who they have reason to believe is armed and extremely dangerous. It really doesn't even matter too much how heinous the crime is, you don't need to send in the shock troops unless your suspect is armed to the teeth.

Ideally the people responsible for this would receive life in prison without parole, bare minimum, but they'll likely get a slap on the wrist.
