Can someone please tell me how this information gets out? How to SO many people know where senators and judges live? To me I wouldn’t tell anyone even my friends my address if I was in that situation.

How does this get out?

Addresses are public information. It is trivial to find most people's addresses with publicly available resources.

FEC filings, usually.  I found Marjorie Taylor Greene's home address in Rome GA in about 20 seconds.

If they use a PO Box address (like Susan Collins) or aren't elected officials (like Alito), you can usually still find it on Google anyway.

Addresses are not public information of Judges, and for good reason.  Judges are not legislators; they are officers of Courts, and the public has an interest in Court Officials not being coerced.

The phone book, for some of them.

For our GenZ posters, everyone used to get a big book of everyone else's address and phone numbers every year.

I've done this sort of thing when playing around with redistricting maps to see whether or not incumbents would still live inside the districts I was drawing.

"How does the public keep stumbling across publicly available information" is one of the dumbest premises ever asked on here.

In addition, sometimes politicians post photos from home and you can locate the photos if a background is visible.

If you go on Google Maps and find a house that's been blurred out, it's a safe bet that someone very important lives there.

Then I guess my neighbor is very important!

If you go on Google Maps and find a house that's been blurred out, it's a safe bet that someone very important lives there.

Usually the Street View blurs are the most random people in the world ("gOoGlE iS sPyInG oN mE!") and no one would have ever cared about them until they requested the blur.

I'm a contributor there and if I add an address, it's because the candidate's address is listed on the official list of candidates provided by the state, county, etc.
