Obviously far fewer of them than Bush-Obama voters, but this is a curious demographic. When did Dems lose them?

When Democrats nominated someone of the wrong color.  Most of them would probably have voted for Hillary Clinton in 2008.  There were exceptions of course; some people just really liked McCain or whatever, but it’s not like Kerry had any strength Obama didn’t have, except for being white, and a veteran I guess.  I suppose a few Kerry/McCain voters simply liked voting for veterans, but it’s hard to argue that most Kerry/McCain voters weren’t voting out of racial prejudice.

When they nominated a “Kenyan Muslim”. I doubt they fell in love with Bushnomics in 2008 of all years.
