I'm not sure which option I'd choose, and I'm American myself.

I'm curious to see which kind of person would have gone for Option 2 before this whole crisis began.

To be honest, I would only live in the United States. No where else really.

The United States is my favorite country along with Germany and Greece, so obviously US. And already speaking English makes it a lot easier as well.

I know somebody who lived in Ukraine for a few years, loved the place and its people but also had the now familiar litany of drawbacks (corruption/cronyism, widespread poverty etc)

Neither lol

But between these two, easily USA.

My escape plan order in case of sudden emergency has always been:

- Southern Cone of South America (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile)
- Southern Europe (Portugal, Spain, Italy, France)
- Rest of South American countries
- Ireland and Canada
- Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean
- Rest of Western European countries (Greece included)
- South Africa and Angola, possibly Botswana (Southern top of Africa in General)
- Turkey, Israel, Lebanon
- Russia, South Korea
- USA, Australia, New Zealand
- Most Eastern European countries (minus Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, maybe some few others)
- China, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong/Macao
- Rest of Middle East and North Africa in general
- Rest of Eastern Europe not included yet
- Rest of Africa in general
- Rest of Asia in general (cultural shock would be too hard to adapt imo)
- Islands outside the Caribbean

Order of first ten:

1. Argentina
2. Chile
3. Uruguay
4. Portugal
5. Spain
6. France
7. Italy
8. Colombia
9. Peru
10. Ireland

The answer here is obvious. I could understand living in Canada for instance or even Costa Rica(I know some Spanish) but not so much Ukraine.

Eh, if I could get a really good job I 100% would have lived in Ukraine, but then again I would live in a lot of places for money. Of course I would rather live almost anywhere in the US.

The cost of living in Eastern Europe is very low, you could live like a king.
