Looks like West Africa may be having its second coup in just nine days after the coup in Burkina Faso last week. I don't know a ton about Guinea-Bissau, but I know it's not exactly a bastion of democracy.

The coup failed btw.

Also, there was a by and large peaceful transition to power to the current president after a bit of whining by the old guard. Guinea-Bissau by and large has been a democracy for a good while now.

Some coups are at least arguably justified, doesn't look like this was one of them really.
