Two questions to kick off the discussion:

• What kind of public reaction would we see?
• Would you recognize Trump's win as legitimate?

Note: This is a win in terms of actual votes cast, not a matter of state legislatures or courts overturning a state's slate of electors.

Somewhat depends on the margin of the EC and the margins of the closest states.

If he wins by <300 EV or the swing states are 1% or less, then the consensus is likely that he won due to voter suppression.

If he wins by 300 EV+ and the swing states are a larger margin, then it’s seen as another extreme example of why the electoral college is unjust. It probably becomes a mainstream Democratic opinion to abolish it since this would be the THIRD time it happened to Democrats in 24 years.

He'd be like Cleveland except that Cleveland won the popular vote 3 out of 3 times instead of 0 out of 3 times.

Trump would be rightfully inaugurated on January 20, 2025 because he won the election.
