Why do Republicans care if Black people vote?

Why do Republicans care if Black people vote? They get at least 5%-15% of the black vote nationally, sometimes 10%-20% in some state elections, especially in the South, but not enough to help them sometimes.

Why do they support voter suppression in Black precincts? Black people are only 12%-14% of the United States population, what's in it for them?

People of color in general, it seems that they can't attract Latino voters even if Latinos are a Tilt D/Tossup bloc right now..
