Tbh, something like this. Harris is just a really weak and unpopular candidate. Buttigieg wouldn't excite the Dem base either.

The closest states are:

New Hampshire: Carlson +0.3
Minnesota: Carlson +1.2
Maine: Carlson +2.5

Georgia: Harris +2.6
Nevada: Carlson +2.9
Arizona: Carlson +3.1
North Carolina: Carlson +3.5

^^ You're assuming that Carlson wouldn't be an unpopular candidate?

The D base in GA is still mostly black, and African-Americans aren't very supportive of homosexuality, which would cost Harris Georgia

Carlson would win. I don't know by how much, but he'd win. Harris is a lot like Donald Trump in that the more she talks, the more people dislike her. And Pete's just not exciting enough. Republicans never have to be exciting, but Democrats do. That's just the way it is.

Tucker is charismatic. He has no weaknesses compared to generic R and has a LOT of positives.

He is the closest thing to 2016 Trump the GOP has. Hawley's economic nationalism without the religious fundamentalism and with some charisma.

Carlson has smart political chops but this is counterbalanced by the electoral penalty of history as a talking head. It wouldn’t be a landslide, but the Republican ticket would flip AZ, GA, MI, NV, PA and WI. I think they’d win the popular vote, too.
