Retirees aren't gonna work, they take out every bit they can get the Govt if you work part time out of Unemployment checks

But this is the reason why Newsom gave that sham Stimulus only if you worked Part time and had EITC along with SSA would you get a Stimulus, if you didn't have EITC it was over no Stimulus

Worth pointing out that Folsom is a middle-class “inner” suburb of Sacramento.

raise pay/benefits, cut the pay/benefits for management and people on the top and stop with various demeaning things like calling workers "team members"/"associates" or customer is always right policies and other workplace BS/petty humiliation if they want people.

While we're at it close immigration, including "legal" immigration to REALLY show employers a tight labor market.

Worth pointing out that Folsom is a middle-class “inner” suburb of Sacramento.

Also worth pointing out that there’s basically no houses under $500,000. The city basically just ignored affordable housing mandates until the average price had risen so much that working class people are priced out. Basically it’s where a lot of upper middle class people come to raise their kids or retire.

Source: I grew up there and currently live there.

Edit: Left Panda because there were so many online orders and the line was going nowhere.

In nearby Roseville, the houses that are below 500k, many of them are in the “ poorer “ neighborhoods.

Technically not true. Folsom is a newer Suburb of Sacramento.

The Inner suburbs are places like Fair Oaks, Orangevale. There you can find houses for cheap, but there’s nothing else, and not even access to major highways.

Yeah, it is somewhat newer, most of it has been built in the last 30ish years and they’re still building now. Speaking of Folsom and Citrus Heights, it only took me 25 minutes to get from my house to my doctor’s office today. I think that’s a new record low. Usually it’s more like 30-35. Orangevale is usually a slog on Greenback. Kind of was on the way back, but I worked until 7, so ehh.

In the sense of it being in Sacramento County, Folsom is somewhat inner, but let me tell you, the commute (when I have to make it) reminds me that it’s not “inner,” but at least it’s not El Dorado Hills.

Yeah, I occasionally see houses at like $499,000 in Folsom and they’re all around the middle schools, which is the “poorest” and second-oldest part of town.

Good idea in theory, but wages need to keep pace with property values. Addressing NIMBYism and poor housing policy in CA is equally (if not more) important in the medium to long term.
