Yes (O=Other), the news media in this country absolutely misses the daily firehose of leaks and messy drama that characterized most of the Trump Presidency.

I can tell that they're doing everything in their power to manufacture controversy about the Biden Presidency where there is little or none (which is obviously a separate issue from the media manufacturing consent in other places). Stop trying to make DEMS IN DISARRAY happen, ffs!

Disgusting people.

They were mutually beneficial to each other in a disgusting symbiotic way and there's nothing CNN wants more than another attempted insurrection and Trump's return to power in 2024. Biden is boring and actually doing his job, can't have that.

Yes, and no. I'm sure they don't miss being constantly insulted and having his terrorist loyalists threatening assassinations and bombings of media outlets, but definitely miss the ratings he brought them. They're like a domestically abused house-wife in a trashy soap opera.

They chose to give him 20x the primary coverage in 2016 as other candidates. Cruz, Rubio and Fiorina would've all been "firsts" that the msm would've jumped all over any other year, but as soon as Trump announced, they became obsessed and hypnotized. They chose to cover Trump this way. They are not victims.

I think it depends who in the media we're talking about. The higher-ups in the boardrooms definitely miss him and were happy to be complicit in fueling his rise, but I'm not so sure that's true for some of the anchors and reporters.

I think this is the most accurate description of the situation. Most journalists, as is very well known, lean to the left politically, and I'm sure that Trump repulsed them in that manner. And of course, most of them liked Obama and despised Trump on a personal level. But at the same time, they're in an industry whose profits are derived from ratings, and ratings are generated by coverage that is sensationalist and continuous. The Trump Administration provided them with the kind of ratings that they crave.

Why would we miss Trump as soon as he was banned from Twitter he stopped having Press Conferences

Trump misses the Prez, because since he isn't on RAW McMahon or Apprentice he doesn't have American attention, he craves to be at the center of attention, that's why he will be soundly defeated if he tries again

Of course. If Trump or another flashy personality runs in 2024, they'll be obessed with their candidacy because it will bring them views and attention, which will bring them money.

Yes. Actually, they are still in mourning.

If there was one time tfg was not lying, it was when he said that the media would miss him if he left office. The corporate media is trash and as others have rightly stated on here, they only care about ratings and money and coincidentally that's exactly what their cash cow only cares about. It's a love-hate relationship and they're doing all they can to help him return to power by constantly keeping him in the headlines.

If there's one good thing Trump "did" as president, it's that he exposed not only evangelical "Christians" for the sanctimonious, hypocritical bigots that they truly are but he also exposed the true colors of the corporate media.

Absolutely.  Unprecedented access to a President is something they love.

Donald Trump showed behavior characteristic of political leaders who assassinate or imprison journalists. He may have been good for stories -- but so was Idi Amin (outside of Uganda, of course).

Very obviously yes. They are flailing aimlessly without him. Some are desperately trying to keep him relevant but it honestly kinda feels like maybe, just maybe, his star is finally fading… Don’t wanna jinx it but it seems like 7 months with no social media and severely cut back traditional media coverage has already taken a toll on Donald. Obviously he still has the cult (though even that seems like it’s maybe waning a bit after Q went dark and no prophecies were fulfilled) but turns out when you deprive a narcissist of the attention he depends on to thrive, he just might wither. If Facebook and Twitter stand by their decisions, seems like pretty much only “the enemy of the people” could possibly keep Donald relevant, but again, it’s just not quite the same anymore. And it’s obvious neither party is happy about it, but I’m guessing it hurts Donald much more.

I just hope against hope his tailspin continues and the media resists the temptation to revive him. Although, I think a lot of it may actually be that the population is fatigued and sick of hearing about Trump, so I’m not totally sure they could revive him even if they tried at the moment.

The NothingBurger Commission will keep the MSM talking about Trump for a long time and he'll provide some juicy press releases and appearances to wet their appetite.
